Today Tiit, Joosep and I put up a fence measuring about 900 meters. The fence is an electric fence for keeping sheep in the field, and out of the neighbors land. The electricity doesn't hurt them it just gives them a quick shock. It was quite an accomplishment for one day, and it was nice to be out working with friends and getting my hands dirty again, like last summer in Ireland. Its also nice that there is a nice hot sauna waiting for me at night. I am learning as much estonian as I can while I work. It is a beatifull language, closely related to Finnish. Joosep tells me that J.R. Tolken got his idea for the elvish language used in his Lord of the Rings books from Finnish, and I can see why. Tomorow Joosep and I might go to an educational event at the old German manner which has been renovated into a school.

- Sometimes people ask me why I travel. Sometimes I ask myself the same question. The best answer I can give is that I am following my heart, but there are so many good reasons for me to travel. Traveling teaches me about myself for one thing. Gandhi said “a nation’s culture resides in the hearts and souls of its people”. When I learn about myself I am learning so much more. If I have learned one thing, I have learned that I am far from a perfect person. There is no such thing as a perfect person in my world. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to keep trying to be the best I can.
